Signs of alopecia areata

Causes of Alopecia areata
First it is not a communicable or infectious disease meaning it cannot be transferred from an affected person to the other. It usually occurs when people have relatives with autoimmune disease and that means it is hereditary. The disease makes the body immune system destroy hair follicles which in effect subdue hair growth leading to baldness.
Hair Loss Treatment
Hair loss leading to baldness is unfortunately a permanent condition and one of the major treatments is hair replacement or transplant which is a permanent procedure. There are other treatment though temporary, example: wearing of wigs including weave on fixing, this is however for the ladies, but for the men, a buzz cut is recommended, where there are small baldness steroid treatment like ecocom, minoxidil ointment is recommended
Hair loss due to alopecia areata is a common problem that affects both men and women. It does not occur mainly on the head, but other parts of the body too and can be treated.
